Sistahs-in-Law
The Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN) is pleased to partner with the Black Female Lawyers Network (BFLN) to sponsor 50 Lil’ Sistahs— BIPOC women (ages 16-22) to attend BFLN’s Sistah’s in Law annual retreat.
This year’s theme is Forging Ahead: Our Health, Our Wellness, Our Way.
The retreat will be held online/virtually on Zoom. Lil’ Sistahs will attend an inspirational session titled “My Journey to a Career in Law.” This interactive panel discussion facilitated by OJEN staff features lawyers from a variety of legal practices. They will share their experiences and answer questions about being a Black woman working in the legal field.
Participants will also attend a keynote address given by Tonya Lewis Lee!
This program has been made possible thanks to sponsorship by individual justice sector professionals.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and is open to BIPOC women, ages 16–22.
